Spitali Rajonal Memorial në Fier është përzgjedhur nga OBSH-ja si përfaqësues i Shqipërisë në fushatën ndërgjegjësuese #Stories_of_AMR, një iniciativë që synon të rrisë vetëdijen mbi rrezikun e rezistencës ndaj antimikrobikëve (AMR).
Përmes këtij projekti, Spitali Memorial ndan përvojën e tij në përdorimin e kujdesshëm të antibiotikëve, në zbatimin e standardeve të parandalimit dhe kontrollit të infeksioneve, si dhe në menaxhimin e infeksioneve të lidhura me kujdesin shëndetësor.
Kjo përfshirje thekson rolin e spitalit si një shembull i mirë rajonal në përpjekjet për të frenuar përhapjen e AMR dhe për të mbrojtur shëndetin e pacientëve, duke u bërë pjesë e një thirrjeje kolektive për veprim në nivel evropian dhe global.

Patient health is our top priority, and we carefully assess their condition before, during, and after antibiotic treatment, ensuring strict adherence to clinical guidelines.”
“The Board of Hospital Infection was established to monitor and manage health care-associated infections. The Board adheres to international protocols and plays a key role to minimize the spread of infections within the hospital. We closely collaborate with other public institutions, conducting monthly screenings of hospital premises and medical equipment to uphold hygiene and safety standards.”
